Responsibilities
Team Management:
- Assist the Technical Managers to lead teams of Architectural and Technical Coordinators.
- Manage architectural production teams, resources, and manpower planning effectively.
Technical Oversight and Coordination :
- Work with project and technical teams to develop designs from concept / schematic to detailed designs and construction details for tender, ensuring all works comply with regulatory standards.
- Ensure consistency of architectural and building details across the practice, applying building codes to designs and advising the Project Director / Associate / Architect on compliance implications.
Technical Coordination and Regulatory Compliance:
- Assist the Technical Managers and work with project and technical teams for technical compliance and building code matters.
- Review drawings for adherence to planning and building regulations.
- Manage and coordinate the preparation and submission of documentation required by authorities, including for approvals, waivers, and consultations across all project stages.
- Liaise with authorities to resolve technical requirements and facilitate authority submission processes.
Project Coordination:
- Throughout the project cycle, ensure the coordination and organisation of construction documents and drawings.
- Collaborate with suppliers to review and develop architectural details and drawings.
- Coordinate with other consultants on design, building codes, and compliance matters.
- Work closely with contractors on construction-related matters.
- Documentation and management of records
- Maintain organised records of design and working drawings, design information and data, as well as materials, product information, specifications.
- Standardise documentation processes in collaboration with document control personnel.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Undertake other project-related duties and ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Diploma in Architecture or equivalent from an accredited institution, with relevant experience in a similar role
- Well-versed with 2D and 3D design software and technologies, such as AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft suite.
- Acute knowledge and application of planning and building codes and regulations, regulatory submissions and processes.
- Organised and methodical with attention to detail.
- Ability to take initiative, work methodically, and autonomously.
- An open and highly collaborative mindset and approach.
