Overview:
We are working with a specialized engineering and project-based company in the marine and construction sector to hire a Commercial Executive (Contracts & Costing) . This role involves managing tender submissions, supporting contract negotiations, liaising with internal teams and subcontractors, and ensuring commercial documentation is maintained accurately throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while exploring new commercial opportunities.
- Participate in daily and weekly commercial coordination meetings.
- Manage tender submissions and ensure all Request for Quotation (RFQ) responses comply with technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and update commercial records including Inquiry and Quotation Masterlists, subcontractor databases, ERP entries, and shared folders.
- Prepare internal handover documentation for awarded tenders.
- Contribute to weekly project integration meetings and support reporting requirements.
- Review and approve purchase/work orders initiated by supply chain teams.
- Assist in the selection, evaluation, and coordination of subcontractors in collaboration with operations.
- Support change order processes and service report preparation during the construction phase.
- Undertake other commercial tasks as assigned by the Commercial Manager.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MRICS, PMP) are advantageous.
- 2–4 years of commercial or quantity surveying experience in construction, marine, or oil & gas sectors.
- Hands-on experience with RFQs, tendering, contract documentation, POs, and subcontractor management.
- Solid knowledge of tendering procedures and contract negotiation fundamentals.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage disputes and drive resolutions.
- Proficiency in maintaining structured commercial data and documentation.
- Able to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
