We are seeking an experienced and strategic Climate Partnerships & Communications Lead to drive collaboration with key stakeholders including government agencies, and intergovernmental organisations in Singapore and across the region. This role is central to cultivating strong relationships, advancing policy influence, and unlocking new opportunities for impact through end-to-end partnership stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Engagement & Influence
- Develop and implement a key stakeholder and public sector engagement strategy aligned with WWF-Singapore’s priorities.
- Build and manage high-impact relationships with identified stakeholders.
- Act as the primary liaison for prioritised partnerships, representing WWF in meetings, forums, and working groups.
2. Partnership Development & Delivery
- Identify opportunities for collaboration with identified stakeholders on projects, campaigns, and multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Lead the development of proposals to relevant Key stakeholders
- Steward existing partnerships to ensure delivery, compliance, and long-term impact, such as through preparing partnership updates, reports, and briefings for internal and external stakeholders.
3. Media Relations, Content & Issues Communications
- Engage proactively with communications channels to secure impactful coverage and profiling opportunities for WWF’s impactful work.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets.
- Produce compelling, accurate content - news stories, features, press releases, and multimedia - aligned with WWF’s brand and key messages.
- Manage communications during issues or crises, ensuring timely and coordinated responses with stakeholders.[HX1]
4. Contribute to Carbon Finance Strategy Development
- Contribute to develop WWF-Singapore's carbon finance programmes, that promote high-integrity carbon markets, especially in nature-based solutions.
- Support engagements with governments, businesses, and other stakeholders to promote the adoption of WWF’s carbon finance programmes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Policy, Environmental Studies, International Relations, Political Science, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ relevant experience in government relations, public affairs, or strategic partnerships, ideally within the environment or sustainability space.
- Strong fundraising experience in the public sector, trusted network across Singapore’s public sector landscape and familiarity with relevant policy frameworks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in preparing proposals, reports, and official correspondence.
