Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement logistics strategies and processes that ensure timely delivery, inventory optimization, and cost savings. - Transportation Management:
Manage transportation, freight, and delivery services, including carrier negotiations, scheduling, and compliance. - Inventory Control:
Maintain accurate inventory records; oversee stock levels and warehouse organization. - Supply Chain Coordination:
Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, manufacturing, and sales teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations. - Team Management:
Lead and supervise logistics staff; provide training and performance evaluations. - Budgeting & Cost Control:
Prepare and manage logistics budgets; identify areas for cost reduction without compromising quality. - Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies related to logistics and transportation. - Technology & Reporting:
Use logistics software systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS) to monitor and report on performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
(Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.) - Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management.
Proven track record of managing logistics teams and complex supply chains. - Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Leadership and team management skills
Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, WMS, TMS)
Familiarity with international shipping and customs (if applicable)
