The Manager, Strategic Business Development is a management role, responsible for working with senior management/leadership to drive organizational growth through the identification and development of new business opportunities and strategic initiatives.

This role involves managing a team, fostering collaboration, and ensuring alignment with organizational strategic objectives.

This role provides manages of a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on achieving operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Works with senior management/leadership to develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies that align with the organization’s goals, focusing business growth.
  • Supports the conducting of thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential business opportunities, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Leads, mentors and develops a team of business development professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with cross functional teams / stakeholders, to drive collaboration and business success.
  • Supports the creation of compelling business proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the value of organizational offerings.
  • Supports the establishment and also monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of business development initiatives and make data-driven adjustments as necessary.
  • Stays up to date on industry best practices and emerging technologies in the field of business development.
  • Helps to drive innovate approaches and best practices in business development, leveraging emerging technologies and customer-centric solutions.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

Required experience:

  • Advanced experience gained in a similar strategic business development role, preferably gained within a global technology services organization.
  • Advanced management and leadership experience, preferably direct management and leadership of a strategic business development team(s).
  • Advanced experience collaborating with cross functional teams and other internal/external business stakeholders.
  • Advanced track record of driving business growth through the development and execution of strategic business development initiatives.
  • Working experience in Global IT company for at least 3 years of experience. Ability to converse in Japanese language is highly advantage to collaborating with stakeholders
