RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate, contribute, and support the Territorial Secretary for Programme in the formulation and implementation of the territorial strategies for the growth and development of The Salvation Army.
  • Serves as a creative and technical resource to the mission of the Programme Department. Plans, develops, coordinates, and implements the execution strategy and communication for the department objectives, projects, resources, and special events, including meetings, seminars, and conferences
  • Serves as a liaison for other departments and/or regions in providing resources and opportunities for collaboration. Streamlines communication and processes within the Programme Department to ensure smooth department operations.
  • Specializes in planning, coordinating, developing, and executing the delivery of content and graphics communication for a wide variety of programmes via multiple communication channels, include website and social media accounts, promotional materials, event resources, magazines, brochures, fliers, and any digital and printed resources.
  • Make available various equipping resources to ensure the effective accomplishment of its programme.
  • Ensure their effectiveness, relevancy, consistency, and alignment with the mission, vision, and the overall Strategic Mission Plan of The Salvation Army.
  • Building positive relationships with various stakeholders is crucial to the work of this position. This role requires you to be highly relational and collaborative in your engagement with the multiple stakeholders within the Territory, including but not limited to Corps Officers, Centre Management, THQ, and other training/resource providers, in support of the growth and development of the territorial evangelistic programme.
  • An "Integrated Mission" approach in facilitating all the functions in your role is paramount, as such an approach brings about a dynamic, positive working partnership of Corps and Centres to realize the overall Strategic Mission Plan of the Territory.
  • You are also required to exercise initiative in researching current available tools and resources to support and contribute to the territorial Corps' mission effectiveness.
  • Consistent consultation with the Territorial Secretary for Programme is pivotal in your role to ensure that the programme of Corps ministries and Centres of the territory is well supported.
  • You are also expected to be able to facilitate effective communication with and feedback from the stakeholders mentioned above that is vital in carrying out the below duties and responsibilities effectively in support of the needs of The Salvation Army programme of both Corps and Centres in Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar (Myanmar - limited to sharing of relevant resources), and Thailand.
  • Serves as a point of communication for other departments and/or regions seeking information or services regarding resources, programs or events; responds to questions, research, and provides specific and general information based on the knowledge of the department operations; ensures the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of all information provided; maintains the confidential nature of the position. Assists in the administrative tasks associated with special projects; processes correspondence and special documents; ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same before submitting for approval and signatures.
  • Prepares and maintains statistical records across the territory; develops and recommends guidelines for tracking statistics based on established practices.
  • Researches, compiles, interprets, and summarizes information for various reports, spreadsheets, surveys, and special projects; researches files, accounts, records, etc. to resolve problems and/or correct documented information; informs appropriate individuals of discoveries.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor Degree from relevant field
  • Strong alignment with the mission and values of The Salvation Army
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, communications or programme coordination
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills
