Job Summary
We are looking for a Purchasing Assistant for 6-months temporary role to support daily purchasing and inventory tasks. Responsibilities include handling purchase orders, sourcing suppliers, monitoring stock levels, and helping with cost-saving efforts. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience, good negotiation skills, be organized and proactive.
Roles & Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing:
- Handle purchase orders, invoicing, and related documentation.
- Source new suppliers and identify potential new products.
- Qualify new vendors and evaluate alternative sources.
- Ensure timely procurement to meet production and operational needs.
Supplier Management:
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance on a regular basis.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and support cost control efforts.
Inventory Management:
- Manage and control inventory of chemicals and general supplies.
- Prepare and submit monthly procurement and inventory reports.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or higher in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant purchasing or inventory control role.
- Experience in purchasing, inventory, material, or warehouse management is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills. Detail-oriented, responsible and able to work independently.

Working Hours: 7.50am to 4.55pm (Mondays - Fridays)
