About the Opportunity
Are you analytical, resourceful, and energized by solving complex growth problems in a tech environment? foodpanda is looking for a data-savvy and impact-driven Retention Analyst to join our regional Marketing team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of our customer retention strategy—managing budgets, modeling performance, and uncovering actionable insights to drive long-term customer value. Working closely with local markets and cross-functional partners in 17 markets across APAC and Europe, you’ll play a key role in maximizing and unlocking new marketing levers that keep our customers engaged.
What You’ll Be Doing
Manage and optimize a sizable marketing incentives budget to allocate resources towards opportunities that maximize ROI and sustainable long-term customer value.
Define assessment frameworks & metrics, model budgets and targets, and monitor performance to support local teams in optimizing their incentive strategies to achieve sustainable growth
Partner with regional and local teams to design, test, analyze and implement growth levers to generate sustainable customer growth, including experiments on customer engagement approaches across incentives, retention and CRM communication.
Drive actionable insights out of your experiments and analysis, and ensure rollout and proper knowledge sharing across markets.
Conduct ad-hoc deep dives and generate business-critical insights to identify customer retention opportunities. Apply the 80/20 approach and a diligent process towards problem solving.
Qualifications
2-4 years of experience in growth, consulting or analytics, ideally in tech, e-commerce or digital platforms, with strong business acumen. Prior experience in marketing is ideal but not necessary.
Strong financial or commercial analysis skills with experience building models, interpreting performance data, and deriving actionable insights, including designing A/B tests from identified customer or business problems.
Comfortable working with budgets, setting KPIs, and tracking against performance goals.
Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets is required; familiarity with Tableau and SQL is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to prepare well laid out, easily understood analysis and written presentations.
Organized, detail-oriented and solution-focused mindset. Experience in proactively driving new initiatives and projects.
Fluent in English, and comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders in a fast-paced, matrixed and international environment.
