About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Tax Associate to join our growing team in Singapore. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across industries, handling both compliance and support the Tax Director in advisory matters. As a Senior Tax Associate, you will play a key role in managing client engagements, guiding junior team members, and ensuring compliance with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, corporate income tax computations in compliance with Singapore Income Tax Act.
- Manage tax filings to IRAS (ECI, Form C/C-S) and ensure timely submission.
- Prepare and review quarterly GST returns and reconcile against financial records.
- Assist the Tax Director with tax advisory projects, including structuring, cross-border transactions, and transfer pricing.
- Research and analyse the impact of new tax regulations on clients.
- Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients.
- Supervise junior tax associates in tax related engagements.
- Review workpapers and deliverables prepared by team members.
- Handle queries and audits from IRAS and other regulatory authorities.
- Represent clients professionally in communications of tax matters with the authority.
- Assist the Tax Director for tax audits, queries, and clarifications Assist in internal knowledge-building initiatives (e.g., technical training sessions)
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA, SCTP) or in progress.
- 2–4 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a professional services firm.
- Have knowledge of Singapore corporate tax regulations; exposure to GST and international tax is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. A team player with the ability to manage client engagements and meet deadlines.
