About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and analytical professional to join our Technology Finance team as a Deputy to the Lead TBM Analyst. This role will serve as a key business partner to both Finance and Technology stakeholders—supporting budgeting, forecasting, cost transparency, and vendor cost optimization through Technology Business Management (TBM) frameworks.
You will play a hands-on role in managing IT financial planning cycles, building analytical dashboards, maintaining data accuracy in TBM tools (such as Apptio), and driving actionable insights to improve IT cost efficiency and alignment to strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the end-to-end IT budgeting and forecasting cycles (run-rate, projects, capex/opex)
- Maintain and enhance TBM tools (e.g., Apptio, ServiceNow Financial Management)
- Track and analyze the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) across infrastructure, applications, and services
- Develop dashboards and financial reports for technology leadership (CTO/CIO)
- Conduct variance analysis, trend reports, and cost-benefit assessments
- Collaborate with Procurement and Vendor Management teams on financial aspects of contracts and renewals
- Assist in IT chargeback, cost allocation models, and cloud cost reporting (FinOps)
- Ensure data governance, accuracy, and reconciliation across financial and operational systems
- Serve as a backup and thought partner to the Lead TBM Analyst on strategic initiatives
Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Information Systems
- 3–5 years of experience in Tech FP&A, IT Finance, or TBM roles
- Experience working with TBM tools such as Apptio, Cloudability, or ServiceNow (preferred)
- Exposure to IT budgeting, cost modeling, or TCO analysis
Skills
- Strong financial modeling, Excel/Google Sheets proficiency
- Knowledge of cloud financial management (AWS, Azure, GCP) a plus
- Ability to explain complex financial data to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Familiar with ITIL frameworks and FinOps concepts
- Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and reporting integrity
- Proficient in BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
