Key Responsibilities:
- Takes care of daily food preparation and duties assigned to meet the standard and the quality set by the company
- Able to estimate the daily production needs and checking the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met
- Asist to supervise line cook or commis, as required
- Ensure minimization of food wastage
- Assist in audit in monthly inventory checks
- Initiate improvement activities across workstations and ensure all staff adhere to workplace safety.
- Assist in the investigation of foreign objects if required
- Ensure all food handling adheres to Standard Operating Procedure
- Knowledge of all standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation, receiving, storage and sanitation
- Ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times
- Initiate new menu items, improvising menu from time to time
- Attend customer enquiries if required
- Partake in investigations if required by FSE or other government bodies
- Full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production and presentation standards
- Follow good preservation standards for proper handling of all food products at right temperature
- Ensure timely tracking, recording and replenishing of inventory as needed
- Suggest and initiate improvement activities across workstations
- Check expiry dates and proper storage of food items in the section
- Other work scope as required by business needs
Job Requirements:
- Able to stand at least 8 hours
- Able to carry at least 10KG load
- Work Hours: 6 days/week (8 hours/shift - rotating from 11am-11pm)
- Working Location: West Mall and Vivo
