Job Scopes:
- Assist in managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly/quarterly variance analysis, cash flow projections, and annual budgets.
- Provide timely and accurate financial information and analysis to support decision – making across the organisation.
- Must be proficient in preparing consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the preparation of financial and management reports for the group in accordance with group accounting policies.
- Manage month-end and year-end closings, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls.
- Project Accounting: Monitor and manage financial aspects of construction projects, including job costing, budgeting and forecasting. Track project expenses, revenue recognition, and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting.
- Cost Control & Budgeting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets, cost control measures, and variance analysis to ensure projects remain on budget and within financial guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including the preparation and submission of GST and other statutory filings.
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, providing training, guidance, and performance support.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency in finance operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing of accounts, year-end closing, management reporting and financial analysis.
- Prepare and analyse management reports for the group and its entities.
- Manage daily banking operations to ensure smooth financial transactions.
- Liaise with bankers on financing, treasury, and risk management matters.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and perform analyses for management.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to gather and analyse data for project costs, revenue, and balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure timely processing of invoices, vendor reconciliations, and vendor payments.
- Provide financial and operational support to the finance team and subsidiaries.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and other stakeholders as required.
- Handle any other duties assigned, including special projects and management requests.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
- Experience in handling full set of accounts
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience in construction/real estate industry is a plus
- Self motivated, results oriented and multi-task
- Familiar with Accpac Accounting software preferred
- Meticulous with a flair for figures, independent & organized, team player, with initiative & resourceful
- Great working attitude and being able to work well in a team
- Good Communication skill
