The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated and hands-on Air & Sea Freight Operations Officer to join our Singapore team and support end-to-end import and export processes across both air and sea freight and ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of cargo. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of import and export procedures, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and a customer-first mind-set.
Key Responsibilities:
Air Freight Operations:
- Manage end-to-end import and export operations, including document management, assisting with customs clearance coordination, quarantine paperwork, transport arrangements, and final delivery.
- Liaise with airlines, ground handling agents, and customers to ensure timely cargo handling.
- Ensure compliance with IATA and local aviation authority requirements.
Sea Freight Operations:
- Manage full-container-load (FCL) and less-than-container-load (LCL) shipments.
- Coordinate with carriers, co-loaders, freight terminals, and depots.
- Prepare shipping documentation including B/Ls, invoices, and packing lists.
- Monitor shipment milestones and proactively resolve delays or issues.
- Ensure compliance with local maritime regulations and shipping line requirements.
General Operations & Client Coordination:
- Communicate with overseas agents, suppliers, shipping lines, airlines, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely cargo movement.
- Managing client enquiries and handling customer feedback/complaints in a timely manner.
- Resolve operational issues proactively, including delays, documentation discrepancies, and client queries.
- Support the Accounts Department by checking supplier invoices and assisting with any billing discrepancies.
- Complete all required documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with Company policy and compliance obligations.
- Completing any additional tasks as requested by management on an as-needed basis.
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role (freight forwarding experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Singapore customs procedures and trade documentation.
- Familiarity with handling both sea freight (FCL/LCL) and air freight import and export shipments.
- Experience with EDI systems such as Cargowise (or similar freight management software).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to problem-solve independently and escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and good time management, and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Ideally in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).

Pay: $2,800.00 - $4,500.00 per month
