Assistant/Deputy Manager (Strategic & Quality Development)[What you will be working on]
You will be part of the Strategic & Quality Development (SQD) Department to drive organisational and educational excellence initiatives at both strategic and operational levels of the Polytechnic. You will be engaged in the development and deployment of programmes and initiatives involving strategy, quality, innovation and change management.
- Drive organisation excellence initiatives such as running the Work Effectiveness (WE) Challenge, maintaining the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) system, supporting Public Service Transformation (PST)-related initiatives, and coordinating the Performance Review Forum (PRF) and Polytechnic-ITE Quality Assurance Framework (PIQAF) matters.
- Provide technical expertise, data analysis and administrative support in large-scale analytics projects such as the Teaching Evaluation & Subject Survey System (TESSy), Joint-Poly Graduate Employment Survey (GES) and the Student Experience Survey (SES).
- Build and improve analytics dashboards to help Schools & Departments gain insights and act on data.
- Undertake special studies involving in-depth qualitative and quantitative analyses to identify trends and issues, to align strategies with the TP mission and vision.
- Support TP’s Educational Quality Management System (EQMS) to ensure the establishment and improvement of key educational processes through a system of learning and innovation.
- Review and execute various mechanisms under the EQMS such as the conduct of subject, course and school reviews as well as internal quality audits.
- Work closely with schools & departments, as well as other government agencies, for the deployment of the above programmes and initiatives.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to SQD-led initiatives (e.g., Ministerial & MOE-related meetings, TP Management meetings) and internal/external meetings and events (e.g., PCEO Staff Communication Session).
- Manage SQD’s finance, procurement and asset matters, as well as other administrative functions such as maintaining the department’s digital repositories (e.g., Sharepoint sites) and perform secretariat duties.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
[What we are looking for]
- At least five years of relevant work experience.
- Teaching experience ( preferably in a polytechnic setting) would be a bonus
- Proactive and a keen self-directed learner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- IT savvy and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Proficiency in PowerBI and Power Automate and knowledge of survey methodologies and data analytics will be an advantage
- Good interpersonal skills
- Meticulous and organised
- Able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and priorities within tight deadlines
- Independent, self-driven, and results-oriented individual with strong passion for qualitative and quantitative work
