We are looking for a driven and strategic Assistant Manager / Manager, Freight (Sales & Operations) to lead business development initiatives and oversee operational excellence within a freight forwarding division. This is a leadership role that combines client acquisition and relationship management with hands-on operational coordination, contributing directly to revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- To drive and achieve sales and revenue targets by developing new business opportunities and expanding existing client accounts.
- To lead client engagement efforts through regular, structured interactions to ensure account retention and growth.
- To strategically identify and pursue new markets and prospects aligned with company goals.
- To deliver compelling customer presentations and proposals that address client needs and differentiate our offerings.
- To lead coordination efforts for end-to-end shipment execution, ensuring high standards of service and timely delivery.
- To monitor market trends, gather competitive intelligence, and provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders and product teams.
- To mentor junior team members and contribute to building best practices in sales processes, customer engagement, and operations.
- To collaborate across departments to align sales strategies with operational capabilities and customer expectations.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or related discipline.
- At least 4-5 years of relevant sales experience in freight forwarding, with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets.
- Proven track record in freight forwarding client acquisition and strategic account management.
- Strong commercial acumen with deep understanding of supply chain and logistics operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proactive, resourceful, and results-driven with a strong sense of accountability.
