RESPONSIBILITIES
THE ROLE: Assistant Manager - Student Progression
The Assistant Manager (Student Progression) plays a key role in encouraging and supporting students to upgrade to the next level of study, such as from Diploma to Degree or Degree to Postgraduate programmes. The role focuses on student engagement, retention strategies, and close collaboration with internal teams to enhance the student journey and increase internal progression enrolments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote Progression Opportunities: Organise info sessions, briefings, and targeted outreach to educate and encourage students to upgrade to next-level programmes within the institution.
- Student Retention & Engagement: Implement activities and initiatives such as academic workshops, peer sharing, and student development programmes to boost engagement and reduce attrition.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the recruitment, academic, admissions, and student services teams to create a seamless and supportive progression pathway for students.
- Student Advisory & Follow-up: Collaborate with the recruitment team to provide personalised advice to students on suitable next-level options, entry requirements, and timelines. Follow up with eligible students at key decision points (e.g. near graduation).
- Campaign & Event Coordination: Plan and execute creative campaigns and events that highlight the benefits of internal progression and student success stories.
- Data Tracking & Reporting: Monitor student progression data, identify trends, and submit regular reports on progression and retention rates to management for strategic planning.

- Comfortable engaging with diverse student populations
- Preferably Polytechnic Diploma in Marketing or related fields
- Preferably 13 years in student advisory, academic services, admissions, marketing, or a similar education-related role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong presentation and event coordination skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students
- Detail-oriented with good follow-up discipline
- Analytical mindset and ability to interpret student data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and digital tools
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm.
- Work Arrangements: Hybrid (Blend of in-office and remote work)
