Job Description
- Technical lead in mechanical design from concept to detail design, and practical implementation on site
- Responsible for reviewing, guiding and checking design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents prepared by senior and junior engineers for the design projects.
- Preparation of design report, calculation, drawings, specification, cost estimation and details/ schedules for projects.
- Conduct technical meetings with internal, other disciplines and external parties.
- Assist Professional Engineer in liaison, preparation and follow up of Authority Submission.
- Liaison with Client/ Architects/ Structural Engineers/ Civil Engineers/System Contractors/ Civil Contractors/ QS etc. to produce the electrical building services system design from concept to detail design.
- Lead in the coordination with other disciplines in preparation of design deliveries
- Produce mechanical design from concept to detail design
- Senior engineers must be able to lead projects and supervise a team of engineers / technicians.
- Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
- Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering with recognized education institutions
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on design experience in Building/Infrastructure projects
- Familiar with local code and authority submission procedure.
- Team player and able to work independent with minimal supervision
