Job Description
UIB Asia is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Broking Support Executive to join our Japanese Broking team on a contract basis . This role will provide vital administrative, documentation, and translation support to ensure smooth operations in the handling of Japanese (cedant fac) reinsurance business.
You will be supporting our brokers in liaising with Japanese clients and global reinsurers, and will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team based in Singapore. This role is ideal for candidates with strong Japanese language proficiency and an interest in insurance or financial services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support for the Japanese Broking Team.
- Translate business correspondence and reinsurance documents from Japanese to English and vice versa .
- Assist in preparing placement slips, cover notes, debit/credit notes, and renewal summaries.
- Maintain accurate and updated documentation in internal systems (e.g. NetReiBs).
- Liaise with internal departments such as operations, credit control and finance to support client requirements.
- Track client renewals and support brokers in follow-up and coordination with external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all activities.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Business, Insurance, or related field.
- Business-level fluency in Japanese and English (written and spoken) is essential due to translation and communication responsibilities.
- Prior experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with reinsurance systems such as NetReiBs will be an advantage.
