The Business Application Manager ensures smooth operations and continuous improvement of business applications in a smaller warehouse setting. You’ll play both a strategic and operational role—supporting critical systems, troubleshooting issues, and working closely with logistics teams to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of warehouse-related systems: inventory control, order processing.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to align systems with business processes (receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping).
- Use system insights to identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and track warehouse key metrics.
- Rapidly respond to application issues impacting operations—offer on-the-ground support.
- Conduct periodic cycle counts and inventory verifications to maintain accuracy
- Simplify or automate repetitive tasks to free up team time for higher-value work.
- Create and update SOPs, system process guides, and quick training materials—tailored for small teams.
- Train users on system functions and workflows; ensure proper usage and consistency.
- Enforce safety and data governance practices in coordination with local standards
- Maintain regular reports on system performance, inventory health, and process bottlenecks.
- Drive small-scale process improvements and tech updates (e.g., implementing cycle counts, optimizing stock layout)
Ideal Qualifications
- 5 years supporting or managing warehouse applications or business systems.
- Familiarity with warehousing processes such as receiving, storage, cycle counting, and shipping.
- Background in small or medium-sized logistics operations.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills; able to bridge technical and operational gaps.
- Organized, hands-on, adaptable problem-solver—thrives in environments needing flexibility.
- Proactive and collaborative—capable of modifying processes in real time as needs evolve.
