As we continue to expand, we are looking for a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team and propel our growth to the next level.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities, build and maintain strong relationships with brand principals and key channel partners, and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the IT accessories market, a proven track record in sales or business development, and a passion for technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth: Identify emerging market trends, new product categories, and untapped channel opportunities to develop and execute effective business growth strategies.
- Brand Acquisition & Management: Actively source, evaluate, and onboard new, high-potential IT accessory brands that align with our company's portfolio and market strategy. Nurture and manage relationships with existing brand principals to maximize mutual success.
- Channel Development: Expand our market reach by identifying, developing, and managing relationships with new channel partners, including retailers, e-tailers, system integrators, and corporate resellers.
- Sales & Revenue Generation: Work closely with the sales team to develop channel-specific sales strategies, set ambitious targets, and drive product sell-through to achieve revenue goals.
- Negotiation & Contracts: Lead negotiations for distribution agreements, pricing structures, marketing development funds (MDF), and other commercial terms with both brands and partners.
- Market Analysis: Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to provide insights and recommendations to senior management. Monitor sales performance and report on key business metrics.
- Collaboration: Liaise with internal marketing, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless product launches, effective promotional campaigns, and smooth operational execution.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a business development, channel management, or product management role within the IT, consumer electronics, or distribution industry.
- Proven track record of successfully meeting and exceeding sales and business development targets.
- Strong knowledge of the IT accessories landscape in Singapore (e.g., gaming peripherals, mobile accessories, PC components, audio devices).
- An existing network of contacts with brands or channel partners in the local IT retail scene is a significant advantage.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities and commercial acumen.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
