About the role
You lead a team that conducts strategic and operational analysis and reports on the country-of-interest’s military and defence developments, inform on bilateral and multilateral engagements, and to appraise its engagements with other countries.
What you will be working on
- Lead security development analysis and strategic thinking
- Drive expertise development and knowledge management
- Strategise and plan bilateral and multilateral engagements
- Interface with foreign partners on security matters
- Identify new trends and developments the country of interest may undergo to inform engagement strategies, as well as how it may impact the country’s defence capabilities
Challenge(s)
- Ensuring the team’s well-being and resilience while leading team to deliver high-impact results under tight deadlines
- Synthesising complex information into coherent assessments for diverse stakeholders
What we are looking for
- Education in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies or related field
- At least 15 years of relevant experience
- Strong Leadership skills
- Good command of English language and strong writing skills
- Aptitude for languages
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable to lead a team of lead analysts towards identified topics-of-interest,
- Ability to explore and identify new areas of research relevant
- Interest and knowledge on current political and defence developments, and their implications to the country-of-interest and the international order
- Interest in defence and military affairs, history, with a focus on Asia
