Job Description
- Design and conduct ability-appropriate lessons for Primary School – level children in English and Mathematics, including lesson planning, curation of practice worksheets and assessments, etc
- Scheduling of children for tuition classes, one-on-one homework supervision and Part Time Teachers classes
- To identify, interview and recruit suitable Part Time teachers together with Centre Manager
- To conduct Orientation, Code of Conduct briefing for Part Time teachers and support Centre Manager in the monthly payroll submission
- To work closely with Part Time teachers and provide closer support for teachers who face more challenges
- To work closely with Reading club volunteers and plan Pre and Primary School reading club activities
- Organise monthly birthday celebrations and major festive events by coordinating with donors, volunteers, and vendors.
- To support in school holiday programme and chaperoning duties
- Communicate and coordinate with caregivers, school teachers, CWW colleagues, other social agencies, and stakeholders to ensure the well-being and proper development of the children
- To keep records of tuition class, attendance and other academic information in shared folder and preparation of reports for Board Meetings
- Responding to ad hoc emails, phone calls, or walk in queries
Other duties as assigned by the Centre Manager / CEO
Pre-Requisites and Attributes
- Experienced working with children, preferably in a school / pre-school / social service environment
- Familiar with MOE curriculum and structure
- Strong ability to communicate and write well, able to coordinate and liaise with multiple parties
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Have a passion for helping disadvantaged children and youth
