General Manager – Sports, Education & Facility Operations
Are you a proactive, hands-on leader with experience in managing programs, people, and partnerships? We are seeking a General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our growing group of sports and education businesses. This multi-faceted role involves supporting coaching teams, managing partner relationships, overseeing facility operations, and preparing data for monthly billing across youth sports, preschool enrichment, and racket sports programs.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Scheduling
- Oversee weekly scheduling for all coaching staff across various program streams
- Use CRM systems to manage class assignments, enrolment updates, and staffing needs for early childhood programs
- Maintain and update centralized Excel schedules and records for coaching assignments in specific divisions (e.g. tennis)
- Coordinate coach substitutions during leave periods and adjust rosters accordingly
Client & Partner Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for new sign-ups from clubs and residential partners
- Ensure smooth onboarding of new participants into appropriate coaching groups
- Handle parent or client queries and concerns professionally and promptly
- Liaise with partner schools monthly to obtain updated student lists and adjust coaching durations accordingly
Team Oversight & HR Support
- Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and supporting coaches and assistant coaches
- Supervise coach performance and professionalism across all business units
- Track coaching hours against contractual targets and provide input for payroll or HR actions
- Maintain holiday records and coordinate relevant adjustments
Facility & Program Oversight
- Oversee the daily operations of a dedicated racket sports facility, including customer experience and feedback channels
- Identify and implement operational improvements, including coordination with contractors for upgrades or repairs
- Ensure alignment between facility usage schedules and coaching plans
Billing Support & Reporting
- Prepare and submit accurate session and attendance data for monthly billing across schools, clubs, and private clients
- Maintain structured records of coach hours and sessions conducted by location
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure smooth invoicing processes
What We’re Looking For
- Strong management or operations background, ideally in education, coaching, or facility-based programs
- Confident communicator with experience in people leadership and client engagement
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in CRM tools and Excel/Google Sheets
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a problem-solving mindset
- A valid driving license and access to a vehicle is a plus – occasional transport of equipment may be required
