As the Global Head of Sustainability, you will be responsible for leading our company's efforts to develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy that aligns with our business goals and values. You will be the driving force behind our commitment to sustainable practices across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead global sustainability strategy in alignment with the company’s mission and business objectives, with specific focus on:
- SHEIN’s ambition to help realize a full circular fashion and textile industry, in line with its commitment as a signatory of World Circular Textiles Day;
- SHEIN’s strategy and roadmap to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions, in line with its near-term and net zero targets as committed to the Science Based Targets Initiative; and
- Aligning SHEIN’s ESG strategy to meet capital markets requirements and investors’ expectations
Lead engagements and partnerships with external stakeholders, which may include financial institutions, investors, business and commercial partners, and non-profit organisations. Specifically
- To work with SHEIN’s executive leadership to develop and implement a strategy for SHEIN’s Circularity Fund, including identifying, evaluating and structure deals; and
- To identify external partners to advance implementation of SHEIN’s decarbonization strategy
Collaborate with relevant internal teams, which may include supplier management, procurement, logistics and supply chain teams, to shape and align business strategies and plans in support of SHEIN’s circularity and decarbonization plans.
Communicate SHEIN’s ESG strategy and initiatives to relevant external stakeholders, which may include investors, governments, regulatory bodies, non-profits and media, including representing SHEIN at relevant events and platforms.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 12 years of leadership experience in sustainability roles, preferably in the e-commerce or fashion industry.
- Strong understanding of global ESG trends, standards, and reporting frameworks.
- Proven track record of managing and effectively solving complex ESG related across international supply chains.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and develop strategic initiatives at a global scale.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to have exceptional attention to detail while operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
