Immediate Interior Designer
Scope
Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:
Pre-design
- Meet clients to define scope, Look & Feel & Project timeline
Design Development
- Develop detailed AutoCAD plans, RCP, millwork drawings & 3D SketchUp / Enscape visuals
- Development and presentation of all perspectives, schematic, construction drawings and design solutions that are aligned to intent and are based on established project criteria, program and budget
- Select materials, colours, fixtures and furniture
Documentation
- Coordinate with technical support team to produce tender package
- Assist in reviewing detailed design documentation including floor plans, elevations, sections and detailing. Included are electrical details, schedules (finish, plumbing, door, fixture), furniture floor plans, FF&E specifications, materials and finishes to determine compliance in areas of quality, code and design
- Assist to generate FF&E and architectural finish specifications for documentation, review and approve FF&E purchase orders, coordinate final placement of FF&E installation with all parties involved and maintain FF&E budget for all phases of the project interiors
Project Management
- Attend site meetings, coordinate with contractors, carpenters & vendors
- Focus on service delivery while monitoring the status of assigned project tasks against the project schedule.
Post Project
- Maintain client relations for repeat business& referrals
General
- Work is accurate/ aligned/ completed to client’s brief
- Proposed materials, design and FFE that are within project budget
- Attend meetings/ site inspection(s) for quality and conformation to design & material specifications (where applicable)
- Propose solutions to resolve design, scheduling-delivery, budget, quality, servicing issues
- Space planning
- Serve as principal contact for purchasing agent and FF&E vendors while working with them to select design elements that are to be specified and establish all required information for documentation
- Co-ordinate with clients/contractors/suppliers to ensure promptness of tasks/projects; Resolve any issues with clients/contractors/suppliers
