Job Description
This internship would be best suited for individuals who have a keen interest in the maritime industry and a desire to pursue a career in this field. Those who are adaptable, eager to learn, and open to new experiences, including hands-on training will gain insightful navigational audit experience.
Job Responsibilities
Pre-alerts to all involving parties.
Invoices
Learn about E-invoicing system
To process invoice soonest once receive in system
To check with vessel on the suitability of spares specifications before placing order to avoid any wrong supply.
Proper planning for stores and spares supply to save on delivery cost and convenient mode of delivery.
Process requisitions timely and send to correct vendors/makers accordingly.
Handling of the supplies of stores /spares/ services requisitions for the assigned vessels.
Ensure orders for stores / spares/ services are placed with the right source and competitive price
Monitor and expedite deliveries
Ensure stores / spares are delivered accurately and on time using the most cost efficient methods
Do price comparison and availability of spares/ services before submitting for evaluation and approval
Stores order to be placed with ship-chandlers in area of vessel port call.
Compare quoted prices and evaluate for Superintendent /FM approval.
Pursue vendors for invoice submission with supporting documents once delivery/ services completed
Assist to resolve invoices discrepancies for payment.
Job Requirement
Pursuing Maritime Studies or related fields.
Has interest in supporting the technical services and purchasing team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members.
