Responsibilities
- Manage clinical sample workflows using Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Source and procure laboratory consumables and materials.
- Maintain and monitor inventory levels for general consumables and chemicals.
- Keep accurate records of laboratory and equipment maintenance.
- Support internal and external laboratory audits.
- Conduct regular internal verification of laboratory monitoring devices.
- Train new staff and interns on the use of general laboratory equipment.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and upkeep of laboratory equipment in collaboration with lab personnel.
- Perform regular laboratory safety inspections and follow up on corrective actions.
- Coordinate with external vendors for consumables delivery, laboratory waste collection, and equipment maintenance, repair, or calibration.
- Respond promptly to fridge/freezer alarms and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Liaise with facility vendors for emergency generator support and general maintenance needs.
- Assist in receiving and registering new test items, maintaining updated inventory records, and conducting routine checks for near-expiry items.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biopharmaceutical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a laboratory environment.
- Proactive and adaptable, with a strong willingness to learn.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with LIMS is an advantage.
