- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in logistics engineering
- Strong knowledge of implementing and managing automation systems, WMS, robotics, and material handling technologies
- Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred
- PMP Certification preferred
- Strong consulting or project management experience in the warehouse technology space
- A fundamental understanding of mechanics and electronics can be useful, especially if the warehouse has complex machinery or automation systems.
- Knowledge of how to set up and maintain the equipment used in the warehouse.
- Understanding of automated conveyor systems, robotic pickers, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), etc.
- Familiarity with radio frequency identification (RFID) systems, barcode scanners, and other inventory tracking technologies.
- Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other equipment used in the warehouse.
- Proficiency in tools like SAP, Oracle, or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) software systems that manage logistics and inventory control.
- Ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, such as hazardous material handling, weight restrictions, or packaging laws
- Proficient in using advanced analytical tools and software to forecast trends, monitor logistics performance, and develop action plans for optimization.
- Stay up to date on emerging trends and technologies in logistics engineering, automation, and supply chain management to propose innovative solutions.
- Oversee the implementation of IT infrastructure improvements and automation technologies to improve workflow and inventory accuracy.
- With Class 3 licence with good driving record
- Rotational shifts and must work on weekends
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in logistics software systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS, TMS).
- Expertise in automation systems (robotics, AS/RS, conveyors, automated sorting systems, etc.).
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, R, Python).
- Understanding of project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira).
- Advanced proficiency in simulation software (e.g., AutoCAD, AnyLogic) for designing logistics systems and workflows.
