OVERVIEW
re you passionate about supporting HR management in developing and implementing HR strategies and interventions to achieve the DSTA mission? We are seeking a candidate to improve HR’s effectiveness and efficiencies in its support to the organisation.
Depending on your role level, you will co-lead or be part of the team to:
- Develop HR business strategies, which require in-depth understanding of the strategic thrusts that HR should embark on and ensure alignment to DSTA’s missions, goals and objectives. It also requires close working relationships with internal HR groups and other corporate entities on the initiatives and programmes to be implemented.
- Ensure HR initiatives, processes and policies are aligned and properly implemented across the whole of HR to enable organisational effectiveness towards a more strategic and competent HR.
- Develop timely and effective workforce strategies to address workforce issues such as deployment, recruitment and retention. This requires the ability to identify trends, and shifts in human capital patterns through HR analytics, understanding the demands arising from internal and external factors;, and scenario planning to identify possible future outcomes.
- Drive HR reporting to DSTA senior management through analysis of data to identify trends (e.g. through Human Capital reports, resignation updates, Enterprise Risk Management reports) for manpower trending, insights and timely intervention strategies.
- Establish a robust Job Evaluation framework and proper documentation to govern the job structure in the organisation. This ensures equity of jobs across different entities as well as sustainable job growth and appropriate organisation structure.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Tertiary qualification. Having a Degree in Human Resources would advantageous
- At least 4 years of relevant experience
- Good understanding of HR practices and operational matters
- Able to align HR directions to DSTA business thrusts and requirements
- Knowledge in Job Evaluation methodology would be advantageous
- Good analytical and writing skills
- Good people management skills, and able to communicate and work with people
- Self-motivated individual with a critical mind that seeks continuous learning and improvements
