Key Responsibilities
Proposal & Deal Support
- Conduct feasibility studies combining research, site visits, and financial analysis to assess investment attractiveness
- Recommend optimal brand, positioning, and development strategy aligned with Ascott’s long-term growth
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate potential new projects (proforma and investment metrics)
- Assist in the preparation for pitch deck proposals and business plan approval papers for new development opportunities
- Coordinate cross departmental inputs for tenders, RFPs, and project submissions, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
- Maintain and update templates and guidelines for proposals, pitch decks, and corporate presentations
- Advise regional BD Vice-Presidents on deal structure for negotiation and term sheet development when required
Competitor Intelligence & Market Data
- Conduct in-depth research on new markets, macroeconomic trends, hotel supply/demand dynamics, and competitor performance
- Analyze business and deal performance data to generate insights for strategic decision-making
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track pipeline progress and performance vs. competitors
- Support financial analysis with market and performance inputs to strengthen deal underwriting
Communication & Planning Tools
- Collaborate with Communications to identify business narratives that support growth efforts
- Partner with Communications and Marketing to support external, internal BD-related conferences and event campaigns
- Oversee Salesforce Sales Cloud for global BD use; manage rollout, data integrity, and insights extraction.
- Manage and update the business development pipeline in CRM tools and internal tracking systems.
- Prepare regular dashboards, reports, and presentations for regional and global stakeholders.
Reporting
- Compile and prepare regular reporting packages on BD activities, pipeline status, and key metrics for senior management, regional teams, and HQ
- Analyze deal performance, win/loss trends, and conversion rates across the BD funnel
- Prepare dashboards and monthly/quarterly business development reports using Excel and/or BI tools
- Collaborate with Finance and Strategy teams to align BD reporting with overall business performance metrics
- Support ad hoc reporting requests from internal stakeholders and to the Ascott Leadership Committee
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Hospitality, Marketing or related field.
- Min. 5 years' experience in Business Development, Real Estate, Corporate Strategy, Hospitality or Investment roles.
- Strong command of English; additional languages are a plus.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and presentation design.
- Excellent analytical, research, and financial modelling skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, global, fast-paced environment.
- Critical thinker with entrepreneurial mindset and attention to detail.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
