Job Summary:
The Hair Product Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to promote hair care products, drive brand awareness, and increase sales. This role involves market research, campaign management, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and analyzing consumer trends to position products effectively in the competitive beauty industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Marketing Strategy:
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans for new and existing hair care products (styling products).
- Conduct market research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and competitive positioning.
- Define product messaging, unique selling propositions (USPs), and target audience personas.
2. Campaign Management:
- Lead digital and traditional marketing campaigns (social media, email, influencer partnerships, PR, in-store promotions).
- Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling content (ads, videos, blogs, tutorials).
- Manage product launches, including pricing strategies, promotional plans, and retailer partnerships.
3. Brand & Consumer Engagement:
- Strengthen brand identity and ensure consistency across all marketing channels.
- Engage with customers through social media, surveys, and community-building initiatives.
- Partner with influencers, stylists, and beauty experts to amplify product credibility.
4. Sales & Retail Support:
- Develop trade marketing materials (POS displays, samples, retailer training).
- Analyze sales data and adjust strategies to maximize revenue and market share.
- Build relationships with salons, and e-commerce platforms.
5. Performance Analysis:
- Track KPIs (ROI, conversion rates, engagement metrics) and optimize campaigns.
- Monitor competitor activity and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Report on marketing performance to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Marketing, Business, or related field
- Experience: Product marketing, preferably in beauty, personal care, or CPG.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of hair care trends, ingredients, and consumer behavior.
- Digital Savvy: Proficient in SEO, social media advertising, email marketing, and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Ads).
- Creative & Analytical: Strong copywriting, branding, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal/written skills for cross-team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) brands.
- Familiarity with beauty influencer marketing and affiliate programs.
- Knowledge of sustainability and clean beauty trends
