Responsibilities
Production Planning & Inventory Control (PPIC)
- Set up the management system for production planning, inventory control (PPIC) and procurement for the new plant.
- Set up and implement the relevant modules within ERP and other related software systems.
- Manage and improve forecast models based on industry trends and customer demand patterns.
- Establish the key performance matrix on order fulfilment rate (on-time-in-full) through accurate forecast and optimum inventory level, etc.
- Support and work closely with Production team to achieve common operation goals and timely manufacturing.
Procurement
- Sourcing of materials and services according to the defined specifications.
- Drive Value Stream Engineering by maintaining good relationship with suppliers in a Just-in-Time (JIT) environment, ensuring best value for the organization through effective communication, negotiation and partnership.
- Research and seek out the most cost-efficient shipment procedures and methods.
- Read and comprehend legal documents, such as contracts and import/ export agreements.
Management & Compliance
- Development of SOPs and protocols within the department’s functional responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements, ISO standards, and other relevant policies/ standards.
- Work closely with Finance team to maintain volume accuracy as part of budget processes.
- Develop and manage annual department operating budgets.
- Drive projects with suppliers to deliver operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Define department KPIs and lead the team to achieve defined targets and objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or equalent
- 5 years of managerial experience from FMCG production planning background.
- Comprehensive knowledge on demand and supply planning tools.
- Experience in Meat Processing Industry will be an added advantage.
- Possess strong coordination skills, professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Mature, proactive, take initiative, attention to detail, well organised, analytical thinking and quality minded.
- Systematic and able to work under pressure.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Knowledge and experience in SAP software usage.
- Familiar with ISO 9001 and Halal standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Power point) is a must.
- Customers are Indian Restaurants and Caterers. It is an advantage to those who can able to deal with such customers.
