Responsibilities:
Clinical Services
- Utilize appropriate assessment tools to identify students' occupational therapy needs and conduct comprehensive OT-related assessments.
- Collaboratively develop individualized intervention plans based on identified needs, in partnership with students, families, and the school team.
- Manage caseloads effectively, delivering evidence-based interventions through individual sessions, group work, and consultation with teachers, families, or external professionals as needed.
- Conduct ongoing evaluation of therapy outcomes to ensure effectiveness and guide necessary adjustments.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and communications with families and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Head of Student Support and school leadership to develop and implement clinical protocols and service delivery guidelines.
- Contribute to curriculum and programme development in key OT domains such as sensory regulation, handwriting, physical development, activities of daily living (ADLs), and vocational skills.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments as part of the school admissions process.
- Apply relevant assessment tools to support and recommend access arrangements for national examinations, when required.
Coaching & Training
- Design and facilitate workshops for parents and professional development sessions for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide supervision, mentorship, and clinical guidance to junior or newly qualified occupational therapists.
Continuing Professional Development
- Stay informed on current best practices in occupational therapy, with particular focus on evidence-based approaches for working with autistic individuals.
- Actively engage in ongoing training, workshops, and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
- Remain current with organizational policies, procedures, and professional codes of conduct.
Requirements:
- Possess a recognized Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an institution accredited by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), Singapore.
- Hold a valid practising certificate with full registration under the AHPC.
