Operations Support Assistant

Contract Period: 1 January 2026 – 31 December 2026
Location: 20 Ubi Avenue 1, Singapore

Working Hours

Mondays to Fridays: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break).
Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays. Personnel will be paid for these days.
Service is not required during 105 scheduled school holidays in:
March (7 calendar days)
May/June (30 calendar days)
September (7 calendar days)
November/December (61 calendar days)
Personnel will not be paid for the above-mentioned school holidays.

Scope of WorkCookery Room / Kitchen (Main Duties)

Assist in placing orders for food and ingredients.
Receive and store food supplies in both kitchens.
Prepare ingredients before the start of practical lessons.
Mop and clean floors daily to remove oily/greasy stains.
Set up and sort kitchen equipment and utensils.
Maintain perishable food supplies and items with expiry dates.
Ensure general cleanliness of both kitchens to prevent dust accumulation.
Clean refrigerators periodically.
Wash, dry, and keep equipment/utensils used by teachers during demonstrations.
Stow away crockeries and utensils after drying.
Clean sinks, window ledges, storage shelves, and cupboards periodically.
Tidy kitchen floors, sinks, and tables after each practical lesson.
Machine wash, dry, fold, and neatly store dishcloths and tea towels.
Ensure all safety valves are returned to neutral positions at the end of the day.
Maintain neat organization of utensils in shelves, cupboards, cabinets, and drawers.

Cookery Room / Kitchen Stock-Check Duties

Replace broken glassware from stock and ensure all equipment for Food & Consumer Education (FCE) / Food & Nutrition Science (NFS) lessons are functional.
Maintain a stock-book and breakage record for item replacement.
Prepare and update an annual inventory stock-list for stock-taking exercises.

Operations Support Duties

Clean special rooms, cabinets, cupboards, shelves, instruments, and equipment as deployed by the Operations Manager.
Assist with emergency duties, including moving resources, tables, chairs, and logistics support as required.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Administration Manager and School Leaders.

Qualifications and Skills

Able to read and converse in simple English (Primary Six level or equivalent).
Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience as a Kitchen Helper / School Cleaner / Hawker’s Assistant or equivalent.
Candidates not meeting the above minimum requirements may be disregarded by the School.
