Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of desserts by measuring and mixing ingredients
- Monitor baking procedures and times, and apply glazes, icings, or other toppings using spatulas or brushes
- Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers and proof boxes
- Assist in developing new recipes under the supervision of a Senior Baker or Pastry Chef
- Maintain cleanliness and adherence to health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Rotate products in storage to maintain freshness
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a relevant role is advantageous.
- Knowledge of baking techniques and the pastry-making process.
- Ability to use baking tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with an eye for aesthetics.
- Capable of standing for extended periods.
- Certification in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or relevant field is a plus.
