Job Overview:
As a Pre-Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for engaging and following up with clients on selected and qualified opportunities to help drive deal closures and contract awards. Beyond the sales cycle, you will also support the Customer Success team, ensuring continuity in client expectations, solution delivery, and long-term satisfaction. Your role bridges pre-sales and post-sales functions, collaborating closely with Account Managers, Customer Success, Service Delivery, and Product Development teams
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement
- Lead pre-sales activities to engage clients, gather and clarify requirements, and support the sales team throughout the opportunity lifecycle. Build strong client relationships early in the journey to set the stage for a seamless transition to the Customer Success team post-sale.
Requirements Gathering
- Work with Account Managers to capture detailed client needs and business goals. Develop clear documentation of these requirements for inclusion in proposals and for handover to Customer Success and Service Delivery.
Proposal and Presentation Support
- Create high-level solution overviews, technical specs, business workflows, and supporting materials tailored to client needs. Deliver product demos and solution walkthroughs that align to the client's industry context and goals.
Product Knowledge
- Stay up to date with the product roadmap, features, and industry trends. Confidently demonstrate product capabilities in the context of client challenges and use cases.
Solution Development
- Collaborate with internal teams to co-develop realistic and scalable solution proposals. Include functional specs, implementation timelines, success factors, and key dependencies.
Pre-to-Post-Sales Support
- Support Customer Success team by sharing all relevant client context, expectations, and supporting documentation.
- Work jointly with Customer Success to ensure alignment on onboarding plans, KPIs, and the overall value
Client Success Support
- Actively support Customer Success Managers during early-stage onboarding by providing technical background, clarifying proposed solutions, and helping align expectations with deliverables.
- Ensure that all commitments made during the pre-sales phase are accurately translated into actionable outcomes that drive client satisfaction and adoption. Re-engage with Customer Success and the client when new needs or opportunities arise, assisting in refining solutions or proposing expansion strategies where applicable.
Market Research
- Keep informed on market trends and customer pain points across target industries.
- Feed market insights back into product and sales strategy to enhance competitive positioning.
Position Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a pre-sales, solution consulting, or technical sales role.
- Strong understanding of software development, IT systems, and business process workflows.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with sales, product development, and service delivery teams.
IT Literacy : Microsoft Office Suite, Google functionalities, Adobe Photoshop, various other designing tools and online team collaboration tools.
