Job Description
Inventory & Replenishment
Perform daily stock checks and execute timely replenishment of imported vegetable and packaging material
Monitor inventory levels, flag fast/slow-moving items, and manage disposals effectively.
Supplier Management
Develop and maintain a reliable pool of suppliers and alternate sources for key/common SKUs
Build strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate better terms, including pricing, MOQs, price tiers and lead times
Evaluate supplier performance regularly to ensure quality and compliance standards are met
Purchasing Operations
Maintain and update SKU master list and purchasing price database.
Ensure purchase orders are issued accurately and in a timely manner.
Filing of supplier invoices and pass to supervisor weekly
Sales Order & Customer Support
Assist the Sales team in creating sales orders
Liaise with customers when handling complaints
Other Operations support
Assist in receiving, to ensure accurate SKU and quantity in acceptable quality
Assist in packing when the operators' capacity is full or when there is ad-hoc orders from customer
Assist in sorting of inventory when required
Assist in extracting data and reports from system
Simple housekeeping for the work area by the end of day
Requirements
- Experience in fresh produce handling and dealing with suppliers/vendors at Bukit Panjang Wholesale Centre is a must
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong communication and relationship management skills with suppliers and customers
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle ad-hoc operational needs
