Centre for Cross Economy (CCE) & Translational Materials Innovation Group (TMIG), led by Professor Nam-Joon Cho, stands at the forefront of interdisciplinary research with world-leading expertise in various domains including natural resource transformation, antimicrobial strategies, lipid membrane platforms, and applications in both antibacterial and antiviral contexts. Notably, the Centre excels in plant-based bio-material applications, enhancing the potential of sustainable scientific solutions. Distinguished for its extensive involvement in policy research, the Centre frequently publishes influential papers that shape science, technology, and innovation policies. Our research is not confined to academic realms; it significantly influences policy frameworks, both locally and globally. Moreover, we spearhead global research projects, fostering robust partnerships across government sectors, industry leaders, and international organizations. This collaborative approach not only amplifies our research impact but also ensures that our findings contribute to real-world applications and policy development, setting new standards in scientific and technological advancements.
The primary objective will be performing tasks within the scope of the assigned research project. Additional duties may include training of and collaboration with research staff and students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the international project on municipal solid waste management on environmentally sustainable cities and delivers the project outcomes.
- Collate data/ information/ proposal required for research-related funding and grant call process.
- Assist in interpreting and applying processes and procedures to conduct/monitor project progress.
- Inventory management: organize stockpiling, supply tracking, replenish consumables.
- Purchasing support: liaison for group to communicate with vendors and school finance for lab material/equipment purchasing. Follow-up with delivery and document all transactions
- Support grant management, group accounting practices, event coordination, scheduling.
- Prepare task reports as requested.
Job Requirements:
- B.S. degree in a scientific field and/or accounting.
- Experience in work software, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with lab management is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent on/offline communication and organizational skills.
- Able to work within teams.
