(1) ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be the EHS champion to manage and handle all EHS and related matters across South East Asia region including Australia.
- Be the main contact person and consultant to advise internal stakeholders for matters pertaining to EHS and to work closely with Regional EHS team.
- Create the EHS roadmap and action plan to drive the achievement towards EHS performance metrics/ goals.
- Conduct site inspections and to provide guidance to subsidiaries to ensure compliance with local EHS statutory requirements, Company and building’s safety standards as well as environmental regulations which includes waste management, emissions control, and sustainability initiatives.
- Develop EHS performance metrics and implement the best practices of safe work procedures.
- Conduct EHS training, risk assessments, safety audits internally.
- Conduct incident investigation, prepare related reports and determine the corrective or preventive measurements to minimize the reoccurrence rate.
- Continually seek ways to improve EHS performance and execute improvement initiatives.
(2) REQUIREMENTS:
(a) EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) roles
- Familiar with EHS rules & regulations of different countries across SEA region including Australia
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Environmental Studies or related field
- Related EHS certification is an advantage
(b) SKILLS:
- Computer skills: Good at Excel, Power point and Words
- Communication skills: both verbal and business writing
- Experience in conducting EHS training, risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Familiarization with various safety or quality certification program such as ISO standards and safety and health management systems
- Certified and registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WHSO) is an added advantage
- Hands on experience with management system administration is added advantage.
