Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth literature reviews on human-AI collaboration, reliance behaviours, critical thinking, AI literacy, and problem-solving in educational contexts.
- Synthesise findings into a rigorous conceptual framework to guide the study’s design and theoretical contributions.
- Lead the creation of innovative, pedagogically sound problem-solving tasks that integrate AI tools to measure reliance behaviours and critical thinking.
- Ensure activity design reflects both outcome-based and strategy-based evaluation perspectives.
- Develop robust mixed-methods research protocols, including survey instruments, observational coding schemes, and experimental task flows.
- Coordinate participant recruitment and ensure compliance with all ethical guidelines.
- Facilitate high-quality quantitative (e.g., surveys, behavioural logging) and qualitative (e.g., interviews, task reports) data collection.
- Ensure secure, organised storage and documentation of all datasets.
- Conduct advanced statistical analyses (e.g., correlation, regression, path analysis) and qualitative analyses (e.g., thematic coding, content analysis) to uncover nuanced patterns.
- Integrate findings across data types to produce actionable insights on AI reliance and critical thinking. Lead backend development in Python, especially for data integration and AI model training workflows.
- Contribute to drafting manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
- Develop visually engaging figures, diagrams, and conceptual models to communicate findings effectively to academic, policy, and practitioner audiences.
- Act as a key liaison between interdisciplinary collaborators, ensuring smooth communication and alignment of deliverables.
- Track progress against milestones and adapt strategies to maintain timelines.
- Proactively contribute ideas to refine study methods, analysis approaches, and intervention designs.
- Collaborate on AI/ML model training using Jupyter Notebook; apply foundational knowledge of ML algorithms.
- Work closely with and provide guidance to interns and part-time student developers.
Job Requirements:
- Preferably bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
