In vivo study design and execution: Plan and execute in vivo studies to support drug discovery projects ensuring high-quality data and compliance with regulatory requirements. Candidate would be responsible for routinely performing procedures including tumour inoculation, administration of test articles, blood and tissue collection etc. in experimental mice.
Technical expertise: Competent in mammalian cell culture and knowledge of other laboratory techniques such as RNA/DNA/protein extraction from preclinical/clinical samples, qPCR, ELISA, Western blot and flow cytometry.
Coordination of outsourced studies: Liaise with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to conceptualize and oversee outsourced studies or services and ensure high quality data generation in a timely manner.
Assist in biomarker-related work: Contribute to biomarker-related clinical operations, with willingness to be trained for related molecular biological techniques.
Study documentation and reporting: Maintain high-quality study documentation using dedicated software, prepare detailed study protocols, and generate reports.
Data interpretation and communication: Analyse, interpret, and present data in team meetings; perform comprehensive literature searches and due diligence on research projects, and summarize key findings for team discussions.
Translational Sciences group operations: Assist with lab operations including inventory management, equipment maintenance, procurement of lab supplies and reagents.
Job requirements:
Master's degree in biological, pharmaceutical, or veterinary sciences or equivalent
At least 3-years' experience in handling and experimentation with mice
Proficient in routine procedures required for xenograft tumour models, dosing of mice (intravenous, oral and intraperitoneal routes), harvesting of blood and tissue etc.
Experience in formulation preparation for preclinical studies will be an advantage
Knowledge of mammalian cell culture and other common techniques used in pharmacology, molecular biology and related disciplines is desirable
Commitment to maintaining accurate and comprehensive records and documentation
Proficient in Microsoft office and GraphPad Prism
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment, collaborating with colleagues across different teams
Good oral and written communication skills
Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Team player with a strong sense of integrity
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in parallel under time pressure
