Major Functions:
WWF-Singapore's Rooted In Nature programme aims to increase beneficiaries’ exposure to nature and mindfulness through sensory activities and mindfulness exercises. This is done through a combination of guided mindful walks in our local nature parks and gardens as well as nature-inspired arts activities. We collaborate with other social welfare organisations with the goal to make nature more accessible to underserved communities.
As the Rooted In Nature Programme Executive, you will be responsible for supporting the team in developing and executing our mindfulness programmes. This includes programme design, communication with stakeholders, and leading outdoor sessions.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Programme Development
- Spearhead the development of the Rooted In Nature programme, expanding the programme in its scale and scope.
- Curate engaging and impactful mindfulness in nature activities for various target audiences.
- Identify and establish collaborations with new partners and beneficiaries.
- Liaise with existing stakeholders such as beneficiary organisations to co-ordinate programme-related matters or vendors for procurement.
- Conduct literature review and data mining from websites or documents from various sources.
- Oversee project management, review of feedback, reports and proposals.
- Manage the project budget and support with donor reporting by the fundraising team.
Programme Execution
- Develop resources and manage logistics for the programme.
- Lead participants on mindful nature walks, including conducting activity briefings, managing participants, and administering feedback surveys.
- Develop an impact assessment methodology to track effectiveness of intervention on participants.
- Support with programme-related communication and media requests.
Requirements:
- Degree preferably in Psychology, Counselling, Psychotherapy or related field. Individuals without a degree but extensive mindfulness and nature therapy experience are welcome to apply.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and concisely for a variety of audiences.
- Has experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Detail oriented and flexibility to work on other projects as needed
- Interested in environmental and sustainability issues
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments
- Knowledge on local biodiversity, especially native flora and fauna
- Passionate about conservation and driving real impact
