The key responsibilities of this position in collaboration with management, sales management and product management are as follows:
1. Responsible for defining and executing growth strategies for four global focus vertical markets - Automotive, Bio-Pharma, Semiconductor, Intralogistics and Battery Production - within the Asia Pacific region.
2. Manage cross-regional projects and ensure alignment between global HQs and local stakeholders to drive consistency in customer engagement.
3. Automotive Sector Coordination: Serve as the interface between global car manufacturers (end users) and machinery OEMs. Coordinate project lifecycles transferred from America/Europe into Asia. Ensure seamless execution of multi-national programs by aligning timelines and value propositions.
4. Bio-Pharma Sector Growth: Promote decentralized automation concepts and facilitate cross-selling between machine builder and end-user networks throughout APAC. Build strategic relationships with industry associations and technology alliances to enhance brand visibility.
5. Semiconductor Key Account Management: Drive strategic engagement in the semiconductor sector by aligning with U.S.-based end users and APAC-based contract manufacturers. Support customers in long term forecast planning, technology roadmap alignment, and high-availability solutions tailored for ultra-clean, high-precision environments.
6. Intralogistics Account Expansion: Identify and develop key accounts whose headquarters are located in Asia, with a focus on logistics automation and smart warehouse solutions. Gather customer requirements and coordinate with R&D and product management to influence future product design and local market customization.
7. Battery Production Asia Leadership: Lead global customer engagements in the battery manufacturing sector, with a particular focus on large-scale production projects and overseas expansion efforts. Manage project pipeline and customer success metrics across China, Korea, and Japan etc.
8. Drive the implementation of vertical market sales structures across the APAC region. Train and enable local sales teams in value-based selling, solution bundling, and industry-specific messaging. Monitor the maturity and performance of vertical sales execution in each country, introducing improvements as necessary.
9. Define revenue targets, vertical-specific KPIs, and monitor commercial performance across key countries and partners. Support business reviews to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
10. Coordinate regional marketing campaigns in alignment with global strategies. Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and partner summits to enhance thought leadership and brand positioning.
Beyond the key responsibilities listed above, the position holder is expected to perform additional duties as assigned by senior management, particularly those from evolving business needs in the APAC region.
