Role overview
We are seeking a Senior Executive, M&G, to join our team in Singapore on an 8-month maternity cover contract. This role will report directly to the Senior Manager, M&G, Southeast Asia, based in Singapore, and will provide high quality and effective support for Southeast Asia across a variety of areas including:
- Disputes, Investigations & Advisory Division;
- Finance, Funds & Restructuring Division;
- Corporate Division
- Real Estate

Main responsibilities
This is a "hands-on" role with variety across the full spectrum of business development activities, including:
Practice Management and Support
- Work closely with M&G team, the practice and Industry teams and key cross-practice partners on the full suite of business development activities, prioritising opportunities for revenue growth in line with the firm's strategic plan.
- Support on marketing and business development plans for practice areas and lawyers to achieve growth and market recognition.
- Planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns and thought leadership initiatives to achieve practice area and broader firm positioning.
- Contribute to wider M&G team projects, including supporting new systems and processes, as required.
- Assist managers in the management of M&G budgets, ensuring spend is aligned to business plans.
Pitching and Client Focus
- Work closely with lawyers to deliver pitches to the highest standards within deadlines.
- Track pitch outcomes and record any feedback obtained.
- Credentials and CVs maintenance.
Directories & Awards
- Work closely with lawyers and ASC Client team to lead all relevant submissions for directories & awards.
Communication & Event Management (with support from Asia marketing and PR team)
- Support integrated campaigns, thought leadership, events and other client facing activities, working collaboratively with the firm's comms and marketing specialists, to raise our profile in key markets.
Others
- Share best practice and facilitate collaboration with lawyers, Clients, Markets and Growth team and other support functions.
- Opportunity to assist in firm wide, local, departmental, practice area or industry initiatives.
- Assist with any other ad hoc requests as required.
Risk and Control
- Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with our regulatory requirements and internal policies
Essential skills and experience
- Previous business development & marketing experience in legal industry/professional services environment is required.
- Tertiary qualification in business or relevant degree.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Bahasa and/or Mandarin language skills are highly welcomed.
- Advanced proficiency in Windows operating system, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (advanced level), iManage and InterAction or similar CRM systems.
- Excellent organisational, project management and delivery skills.
- Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Positive attitude toward work and a desire to learn and develop.
- A team player - flexible in their approach to work and willingness to go the extra mile.
- Ability to prioritise a busy workload, meet tight deadlines and manage expectations
- High level of confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy.
