Role overview
We have ambitious plans for Southeast Asia and are looking for a Strategic Account Manager to join our dynamic, high-performing Account Management team.
You will be responsible for managing a book of growth and strategic accounts and finding consultancy and account development opportunities amongst key clients across SEA.
This role is responsible for dealing with large contract renewals, identifying business opportunities, building key prospect relationships, negotiating and closing business deals and maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
You will use a consultative sales style to create, implement and manage a strategy to help achieve our ambitious sales goals.

At WGSN, we have high-performing sales teams made up of Client Service Specialists, Business Development Managers, Account Managers and Strategic Account Managers located throughout the APAC region.

Key accountabilities
- Manage a strategic book of growth accounts to ensure the customer is delighted with the WGSN service (and successfully execute the renewal of the client contracts); maintain high renewal rates
- Identify and close new opportunities from an assigned book of growth accounts across Southeast Asia (Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines)
- Drive all aspects and stages of growth, including; qualifying the viability of potential cross sell/upsell opportunities, delivering winning presentations, contract negotiations, legal and procurement discussionsAccount map to ensure an ongoing full understanding of all departmental needs and how WGSN can address their objectives and deliver value work alongside the Client Service team who will support the day to day needs of the clients
- Demonstrate leadership skills by delivering superior performance and by being a positive influence on team members

Skills, experience & qualifications required
- Proficiency in English (ability to communicate in additional language(s) applicable to SEA major plus)
- Solid, demonstrable experience developing relationships with executives within large, national/multinational organisations within the SEA market (and renewing a book of business) is ideal
- A demonstrable track record of sales success (selling subscription-based products and consultancy services)
- An understanding of how to communicate a service offering through proposals, presentations, phone calls and case study development - excellent presentation and negotiation skills are a must
- Excellent organisational skills and sharp attention to detail
- Ability to manage the Salesforce database, opportunity pipeline, and lead cultivation
- Salesforce-based CRM experience is a plus
- Good IT skills (basic knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite)
