As we continue to expand our programmes and student base, we are looking for a proactive and passionate Studio Manager to lead daily operations and support our growing community.
Role Overview
The Studio Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of MADDspace, ensuring smooth running of classes, managing staff and instructors, handling parent and student relations, and supporting the overall growth of the school. This role requires strong organisational skills, leadership abilities, and a genuine passion for the performing arts and youth education.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the studio, ensuring classes, rehearsals, and events run smoothly.
- Manage studio scheduling, bookings, and class timetables.
- Ensure all studio facilities are well-maintained, safe, and operational.
- Handle inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance.
Staff & Instructor Management
- Supervise and support instructors, administrative staff, and part-time assistants.
- Coordinate teaching schedules and class coverage.
- Conduct regular team meetings and ensure effective communication within the studio.
- Support recruitment, training, and onboarding of new staff/instructors.
Student & Parent Engagement
- Serve as the first point of contact for parents and students, addressing inquiries and feedback.
- Build strong relationships with parents, ensuring clear communication about programmes, fees, and studio policies.
- Assist with enrolments, trials, and student placement into suitable classes.
Financial & Administrative Duties
- Monitor class attendance, student enrolments, and retention rates.
- Assist in invoicing, payment collection, and maintaining financial records.
- Track performance metrics to support the studio’s growth and efficiency.
Marketing & Events
- Support the marketing team in promoting classes, workshops, and events.
- Assist in planning and execution of showcases, competitions, and school events.
- Represent MADDspace professionally in external events and partnerships.
Strategic Development
- Work closely with the Directors to implement new programmes and initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for growth and improvement in studio operations.
- Ensure alignment of studio practices with MADDspace’s mission and values.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Arts Management, Business, Education, or related field (preferred).
- At least 2–3 years of experience in a management or operations role, preferably in education, arts, or enrichment sector.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Passionate about performing arts and youth development.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends when required (e.g., events, showcases, competitions).
