Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Treaty Claims Technician to support the claims team in managing reinsurance treaty claims. This is an entry-level role that offers a unique opportunity to learn about treaty structures, claims processes, and reinsurance operations from the ground up.
The successful candidate will assist in reviewing and recording claims data against treaty contracts, and ensuring accurate and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Claims Processing Support:
- Assist in reviewing loss bordereaux and claims submissions from cedents.
- Enter claim data into internal systems and ensure completeness of documentation.
- Track open claims and follow up on outstanding information or updates.
- Documentation & Data Management:
- Maintain organized digital records of claims files.
- Support the team in preparing claims summaries and internal reports.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with various internal stakeholders.
- Liaise with brokers and cedents on basic claims inquiries.
Qualifications
- Minimum diploma holders/ degree in any discipline
- 0–2 years of experience in (re)insurance, finance, or a similar analytical role.
- Basic understanding of reinsurance or insurance principles preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with claims or reinsurance systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Willingness to learn and develop a career in treaty reinsurance.
