Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local WSH regulations, promoting a strong safety culture, and implementing effective safety practices across the workplace or project sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety inspections.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective action plans.
- Organize and lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and emergency drills.
- Provide WSH training and promote safety awareness among employees and contractors.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting.
- Liaise with government agencies (e.g., MOM, NEA) and ensure timely submission of reports.
- Monitor the use and condition of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- WSH Officer Certification registered with MOM.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Construction.
- Good knowledge of local WSH regulations and industry best practices.
- Strong communication, observation, and analytical skills.
- Able to work independently and in a team.
- Computer literacy for reporting and documentation.
