Our client, a global bank headquartered in Singapore is looking for a AVP – Corporate Secretariat to join them in Singapore, this role reports to the Director – Business Operations.
Responsibilities
As AVP - Corporate Secretariat , you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive support for the Board and ensuring robust corporate governance across the Group. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining company secretarial processes and systems to ensure sound organizational management and full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements under the Companies Act, ACRA, and MAS regulations.

- Perform the full spectrum of company secretarial duties, corporate governance, and compliance functions
- Act as secretary to the Board and governance committees
- Coordinate governance-related regulatory reporting and compliance oversight
- Maintain statutory and corporate secretarial records
- Support governance audits, self-assessments, and remediation plans
- Promote governance awareness and best practices across the firm
- Support all elements of the the bank’s regulatory compliance management programme including update, development, communication, and implementation of the bank’s procedures to align with new enterprise regulatory compliance standards. Countries covered includes Japan, Australia, Asia Pacfic
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of existing and emerging regulatory change requirements, inherent risks, Governance Standards, to ensure program alignment and provide tailored advice to the bank’s entities within APAC region.
Requirements:
- Degree holder in a relevant discipline and CSIS/CGI qualification.
- At least 8 years of company secretarial experience, gained from financial institutions/ asset management firms
- Well-versed in the Companies Act, ACRA, and MAS regulations.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English, and preferably a good written and spoken second language.
- Mature, well-organized, self-motivated, detail-minded, and able to work independently.
