Business Development Director (FMCG - Beverage)

Job Description:
1. Strategic Planning & Market Analysis
- Develop long-term growth strategies and objectives for the business.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to identify new opportunities.
2. Lead Generation & Sales
- Identify, prospect, and convert new business opportunities across various sectors.
- Build and manage a pipeline of potential clients and projects.
- Collaborate with the sales team to generate leads, create proposals, and close deals.
- Develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts.
3. Relationship Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company and build brand awareness.
- Manage and enhance existing client relationships to increase customer retention and maximize revenue.
4. Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a team of business development managers or specialists.
- Work closely with the marketing, sales, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives.
- Set performance metrics, track team progress, and adjust strategies as needed.
5. Budgeting & Financial Oversight
- Manage the business development budget and allocate resources effectively.
- Monitor business development expenses and ensure activities stay within budget while maximizing ROI.
- Forecast and track revenue targets, adjusting strategies to meet financial goals.
6. Innovation & Business Strategy
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and evolving business practices.
- Refine the company’s overall business strategy.
- Advocate for innovative solutions and creative business models to help the company stay competitive in the market.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience in sales and marketing, preferably in FMCG.
- Capacity to manage various projects and work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Well-organised with excellent timeline management skills.
- Analytical mindset with an ability to interpret market data and translate it into actionable strategies.
- Extensive experience in Direct sales, distibutor, or business development.
